Math 312: Introduction to Number Theory
Section 102, Winter 2001 |
|
I have posted a corrected version of the
solutions to Homework #10. In the solution to Rosen, Section
8.4, p. 291, #8, three occurrences of the exponent 5 have been
corrected to the exponent 1109.
The final exam for this course will take place on Thursday,
December 13, 2001 from 3:30-6:00 pm in room MATX 1100
(the Math annex buliding). Please make yourself aware of the university's
Rules
Governing Formal Examinations. In addition, the following rules
will be in effect for our final exam:
-
You will not be allowed to leave the exam room at any time before
you have finished the exam.
-
You should bring a pen and your student ID to the exam. (Pencils
are fine for the exam itself, but you must fill out and sign the cover
sheet in ink.)
-
No calculators, notes, or other aids of any kind will be permitted.
-
You will need to place all books, papers, and other articles at the front
or back of the room (not at your feet). This includes small boxes
or other containers for pens, etc. You may retain valuable articles
(e.g., purses) nearby but not within reach.
-
Cell phones and pagers must be turned off and placed out of reach.
-
Exposing your examination booklets, even inadvertently, to any other
student in the room is a violation of the rules; it is considered a collusive
act and will lead to the immediate expulsion of all involved from the examination
room.
You will be able to obtain your final grade for this course online
from the Student Service
Centre. For the sake of your privacy, I will not be posting grades,
nor will I divulge grades via email or telephone.
