This page is, of course, under construction, yet I feel that some statement is needed, so
here is a hastily written one.
You might be looking at this page to find something about the kind of
person I am and the causes I support. As the society and academia get
increasingly polarized, it has come to the point that you might
be looking here trying to get a sense whether
you will be safe interacting with me. The answer is YES. Regardless of
your beliefs and political and other affiliations.
In the last three years I happened to learn a lot about the effects of
trauma on humans. As a result, I cannot help but see some of the global events
as processing of collective trauma. It turns out that I am not alone, and
psychologists are thinking about this.
My goal for the near term is not to add (if possible) to the amount of trauma in the
world; there is already too much.
- Here is the old page that was last
updated in 2013.
It has links to the people and places that shaped me.
Unfortunately, it is largely
obsolete -- the world was in much better shape back then. I miss the
light-hearted "politics" section that was all about Mathematics journal
prices.
