Additional practice problems are posted on the
Math 100 common page. These problems will not be collected or graded,
but they will help you do well on the midterms and final exam.
Guidelines for writing and submitting your homework:
- Write clearly and legibly. Staple your assignment.
- Do all problems in sequence if possible.
For each solution, identify clearly the section and problem number
(e.g. Section 2.3, Problem 30). Leave at least 2 in (or 5 cm) of
blank space between solutions.
- Show all work.
- When graphing a function, a rough sketch will usually suffice as
long as it indicates the features that the problem is concerned with
(e.g. asymptotes).
You do not
have to use graphing paper or a graphing calculator, although you may do so
if you wish.
-
Homeworks will be collected at the beginning of class on the due date.
A 10% late penalty will be applied to all homeworks handed in after
12:05 in Section 103 or 2:05 in Section 105. If you cannot come to class,
ask a friend to hand in your assignment or drop it off at the
Math office (MATH 121) before
the deadline.
- Homeworks handed in after the due date will normally receive
a mark of 0.
