These look impressive, don't they? Actually, we know very, very little about Eudoxus, and most of what we do know concerns his astronomy, for which he was most famous in antiquity, not his mathematics. The opening of both articles I'd classify as gossip (man hat mir gesagt, auf Deutsch Tratsch), although they are very different. |
