There is also a very curious page on the dates of Greek mathematicians, which in a way is useful as describing, not what was the case, but what has often been thought to be the case. It has also useful links to pages about just about every Greek mathematician you ever wondered about as well as many more that you didn't. Wikipedia has an amazing amount of coverage of them, although in fact very, very little is known about any of them.
