Information for graduate students

Postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and long-term visitors are an important part of the harmonic analysis group at UBC. We have supervised students and postdocs in harmonic analysis, additive combinatorics, analytic number theory, and geometric measure theory. Our former trainees have gone on to careers in academia and industry.

Prospective graduate students:

Are you interested in graduate studies in mathematics? Would you like to work with us? The departmental graduate web page has general information on application procedures, admission and degree requirements. I also have an additional Frequently Asked Questions page for prospective graduate students.

Postdoctoral positions:

Most postdoctoral positions in our department are funded and arranged by individual research gro ups. General information on application procedures is available on the departmental web page; we also encourage applicants interested in working with us to contact us directly. A typical posit ion with our group will have a duration of 2 years and a teaching load of 1.5 course per year. W e may or may not be able to make offers in any given year, depending on the availability of fund ing. Check with us to find out if we have positions available this year.
