The next West Coast Optimization Meeting will take place on 27–28 September 2019.

The organizers are pleased to invite all interested participants to the West Coast Optimization Meeting (WCOM) this autumn on the Vancouver Campus of the University of British Columbia. All scheduled scientific activities will take place in room 110 of the Hugh Dempster Pavilion, at 6245 Agronomy Road. Please come back to this page frequently to watch for details as they become available. The contact page contains maps and direction information.

If you are interested in attending please register. It's easy: just send an email to Philip Loewen (loew@math.ubc.ca) with your name, affiliation, and home page url, stating whether you would like to attend the social event. There is no fee for the event (except for the social event), but registration is required.


  • Friday, September 27, 2019: Social dinner, room ICICS X836, starting at 18:30.
  • Saturday, September 28, 2019: Technical presentations in room DMP 110. Refreshments provided.

UBC is a node in the eduroam network; participants from other nodes can use eduroam. UBC Okanagan participants can use their usual UBC credentials.

All other participants should connect to the ubcvisitor network.
