• Many of the problems were taken from old exams, midterm tests and quizzes.
• Please read the “how to use this book” section carefully before you start working.

CLP-2 Integral Calculus combined text with exercises

• This combines the textbook and problem book into a single text.
• It is an html version which is easily read on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
• The actual word-on-the-page is the same in both versions.
• This combined version was produced using PreTeXt
• We cannot presently release a combined PDF version because of significant changes to the software that was used to produce the previous combined PDF versions.

If you find a mistake

• Go to the Bug Bounty page and check the errata list to see if has already been found.
• If you are a UBC student then you might qualify for a gift card - see the Bug Bounty page
• Otherwise if you find an error in the notes then please send an email to clp@ugrad.math.ubc.ca. Please include
  • a description of the error,
  • the page number and any additional information that will help us locate the error (such as an example number),
  • and the compile date of the version - this will be on the front page of the PDF.
• Please send comments or requests to the same address.
• If the problem concerns the mobile text only, then please make that clear in your email.

• The source files for CLP-2 (both formats) are posted on github and licensed under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 International License

CLP-2 Lecture Slides:

• Slides for use in lectures that follow the CLP-2 text.
• Instructors: expanded versions of the slides (for use in class, with all the “clicks”), and the corresponding source files, are available on a GitHub repository and are licensed under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 International License. All slides use LaTeX’s Beamer class. The ReadMe there has more information on the different versions available, as well as customizing and compiling them.
• Students: all slides here have default content. If your instructor modifies the slides for your class, the changed versions will not show up here. Look at your class materials for download links.
  • You can download slides formatted for note-taking below. Most of the “clicks” used for lecture pacing are omitted, resulting in a condensed file that is easier to skim. There is blank space for you to work on questions in class. The two options below have identical content, but different formatting.
  • Section-by-section files for annotating are in a zipped folder. Filenames correspond to sections in the text. This is the most straightforward version to use if you want to take notes in class on a tablet or laptop.
  • The file CLP2StudentWorkbook.pdf combines all sections into one printable file. If you prefer to take notes on paper, you can print this out at the beginning of the term. Most copy shops will bind printouts into a book for a relatively low price.
