Both are happy exceptions. The English one is one of the best sites concerned with the history of mathematics. One thing I like very much is how it traces Apollonius' work and publications down through time. This should be done much more often. It lacks in mathematical explanation, however.

The German one at least refrains from speculation, but has surprisingly little to say.

I suspect that the lack of gossip here is not unrelated to the fact that Apollonius' mathematics is as technical as Greek mathematics ever got, which makes him difficult prey for the lazy.
