Both are happy exceptions.
The English one is one of the best sites
concerned with the history
of mathematics.
One thing I like very much
is how it traces Apollonius' work and publications
down through time. This should be done
much more often.
It lacks in mathematical explanation, however.
The German one at least refrains from speculation,
but has surprisingly little to say.
I suspect that the lack of gossip here is not unrelated to
the fact that Apollonius' mathematics is as technical as Greek
mathematics ever got, which makes him difficult prey
for the lazy.
