Title How to convert reciprocal motions to a unidirectional motion?
Abstract In molecular motors, each cycle of chemical reaction is coupled to some conformational change, which is used to directly drive the motion or rectify thermal fluctuations. Strictly speaking, the conformational change also goes through a cycle. But the conformational change may be very close to a reciprocal motion. I will discuss several possible mechanisms of converting reciprocal motions to a unidirectional motion.
