| Abstract | The opening reception will be held at Sage Bistro from 7pm-9pm on Sunday, July 26th. The registration table will be open during these hours. Appetizers will be served and there will be a cash bar. Schedule: 7:00pm Reception, bar and registration open 8:00pm Brief welcoming remarks (SMB2009 organizers) 8:10pm Suzanne Lenhart, University of Tennessee at Knoxville and NIMBioS. "Introducing the new institute, NIMBioS" NIMBioS (the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis) arises from a new collaboration between the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Dr. Lenhart will talk about activities and opportunities at the new institute and take questions. 9:00pm Reception ends. |
