- There are two kinds of homework:
- on-line homework assignments will open every Thursday morning, and be due Friday night 8 days later.
- off-line homework (PDF) is not for submission, but doing as many problems as possible is essentially for success in this course (addendum:
**I do not recommend you buy Stewart's calculus book**, but if you acquire a copy of the 7th edition (used, say) then here are the suggested problems that were used last year).

- Remark on Quiz1: version 1.5 on this quiz had a different problem 3 than the one used by other sections – here is the solution.

- The Math Learning Centre is open Monday through Friday.
- Here are some Common Errors in Undergraduate Mathematics. Avoiding these common pitfalls will improve your grade measurably.
- For your amusement you may wish to consult the very first calculus textbook, Analyse des infiniments petits by l'Hôpital (published in 1696). While on the UBC network you can freely download an annotated English translation from SpringerLink.

- The final exam will be held on Wednesday, December 16th between 8:30-11:00 In the SRC.
- You should practice doing past final exams (exams from Math 102,104+184 and 110 are also useful).
- The topics covered in our course are not identical year-to-year, so past exams include problems on topics we haven't covered, and may not include problems on topics we have covered.
- After some revising, it is essential to do at least one such exam
*under exam conditions*: reserve 2.5 hours and work on the exam in a quiet room without using prohibited resources (notes/textbooks/calculators/friends/internet) - We don't post official solutions to exams. That said, some solutions (and hints!) are available on the Math Exam Resources Wiki. Also, the Undergraduate Math Club sells solutions to some past exams.

- I will hold special office hours ahead of the exam: Dec 10, 14:00-15:30, Dec 11, 10:00-12:00, Dec 14, 12:00-14:00, and Dec 15, 13:00-15:00.
