There will be two midterm, during class time on Friday Feb. 11 and Mar 18. Each will last 50 minutes. Topics covered will be posted closer to the date. (If classes remain online, the exam will be a home exam with procedures to be announced at a later date.)
Midterm 1 will cover topics from the first 4 weeks, up to and including branching processes. Here is a sample midterm.

Midterm 2 will cover topics up to March 11, up to and including definitions and basics of continuous time Markov chains. Here are some sample problems and solution hints.

The final exam will cover all topics from the course, including those from the midterms. It will take place in April.
